เมื่อวันที่ 4 มีนาคม 2568 นายอสิ ม้ามณี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก ได้พบหารือกับนาย Sheikh Mohammed Belal ผู้อำนวยการกองทุนร่วมเพื่อสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ (Common Fund for Commodities: CFC) โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับบทบาทสำคัญของ CFC ในการส่งเสริมการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนของภาคสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ โดยเฉพาะการยกระดับห่วงโซ่คุณค่าและการสนับสนุนเกษตรกรและภาคธุรกิจรายย่อย

 

โดยที่ไทยเป็นประเทศผู้ผลิตและส่งออกสินค้าเกษตรกรรมและสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ การหารือครั้งนี้จึงเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการแสวงหาความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์อย่างยั่งยืน สนับสนุนการเติบโตอย่างทั่วถึง ตลอดจนส่งเสริมนวัตกรรมเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขันของภาคส่วนนี้

 

CFC เป็นสถาบันการเงินระหว่างรัฐบาลภายใต้กรอบองค์การสหประชาชาติ ก่อตั้งในปี 2532 โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการส่งเสริมการพัฒนาทางสังคมและเศรษฐกิจของผู้ผลิตสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ โดยมุ่งเน้นการให้เงินทุนสนับสนุนและความช่วยเหลือทางเทคนิคแก่เกษตรกรรายย่อย วิสาหกิจขนาดกลางและขนาดย่อม (SMEs) และสหกรณ์ ผ่านโครงการพัฒนาสินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ในประเทศกำลังพัฒนาและประเทศที่มีการพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจต่ำ โดยมุ่งเน้นการบรรเทาความยากจน ความยั่งยืน และการพัฒนาห่วงโซ่คุณค่า ปัจจุบัน CFC มีสมาชิก 110 ประเทศ รวมทั้งประเทศไทย และ 9 องค์การระหว่างประเทศ

 

On 4 March 2025, Ambassador Asi Mamanee met with Ambassador Sheikh Mohammed Belal, Managing Director of the Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), to discuss the important role of CFC in promoting sustainable development in the commodity sector, particularly in enhancing value chains and supporting smallholder farmers and businesses.

 

Given Thailand’s position as a key producer and exporter of agricultural and commodity products, this meeting provided an excellent opportunity to explore potential collaborations for sustainable commodity development, promoting inclusive growth, and encouraging innovation to increase the competitiveness of the sector.

 

CFC is an intergovernmental financial institution established within the United Nations framework in 1989. Its mission is to promote the social and economic development of commodity producers by providing financing and technical assistance to smallholder farmers, SMEs, and cooperatives through commodity development projects. These efforts focus on poverty alleviation, sustainability, and value chain development in developing and least developed countries. Currently, CFC has 110 members, including Thailand, and 9 intergovernmental organizations.
