เมื่อวันที่ 26 กันยายน 2567 เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดศูนย์นวัตกรรม Innovation Hub ของบริษัท ไทยยูเนี่ยน กรุ๊ป จำกัด (มหาชน) ณ เมือง Wageningen โดยศูนย์นวัตกรรมแห่งใหม่นี้จะมุ่งเน้นการวิจัยและพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์และบรรจุภัณฑ์สำหรับแบรนด์อาหารทะเลบรรจุกระป๋องของกลุ่มบริษัท ภายในศูนย์นวัตกรรมแห่งนี้ ประกอบด้วย นักพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ กระบวนการและบรรจุภัณฑ์ นักโภชนาการ นักวิทยาศาสตร์ด้านประสาทสัมผัส และนักพัฒนานวัตกรรมกว่า 40 คน 

 

โดยในศูนย์นวัตกรรมฯ มีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกขั้นสูงเพื่อสนับสนุนกระบวนการทำงานตั้งแต่ต้นการวิจัยคิดค้นคอนเซปต์ ตลอดจนนำเสนอสินค้าสู่ตลาด อาทิ โรงงานต้นแบบที่จำลองจากโรงงานเต็มรูปแบบของไทยยูเนี่ยน ห้องปฏิบัติการวิเคราะห์ (Analytical lab) ที่ติดตั้งด้วยเครื่องมือทดสอบทางกายภาพและเคมีที่มีความแม่นยำสูงเพื่อตรวจสอบความปลอดภัยและคุณภาพของผลิตภัณฑ์ ห้องปฏิบัติการออกแบบบรรจุภัณฑ์ (Packaging lab) สำหรับการพัฒนาแนวคิด การสร้างต้นแบบ และการทดสอบวัสดุและฟังก์ชันการทำงาน  ห้องปฏิบัติการประสาทสัมผัส (Sensory lab) ที่มาพร้อมโซนประสาทสัมผัส สามารถควบคุมแสงสว่างและการระบายอากาศได้ตามปัจจัยที่ต้องการ เพื่อให้ทีมพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์และบรรจุภัณฑ์สามารถประเมินการรับรู้และการตอบสนองของผู้บริโภคต่อผลิตภัณฑ์และนวัตกรรมได้ดียิ่งขึ้น รวมถึง User experience kitchen เพื่อสร้างประสบการณ์ร่วมระหว่างผู้บริโภค นอกจากนี้ ยังมี Co-Creation ระหว่างเชฟ ลูกค้า และแบรนด์ เพื่อพัฒนาอาหารต้นแบบร่วมกัน

 

On 26 September 2024, Ambassador Asi Mamanee participated in the opening ceremony of the Thai Union Innovation Hub in Wageningen. This new center is dedicated to research and development, focusing on product and packaging innovation within the seafood industry. The Innovation Hub brings together around 40 experts, including product developers, nutritionists, and sensory scientists, to collaborate on various projects.

The Hub is equipped with advanced facilities designed to support every stage of the development process, from concept creation to market launch. Notable features include a pilot plant simulating a full-scale production environment, an analytical lab for product safety and quality testing, and a packaging lab for concept development and material testing. The sensory lab, with controlled conditions, allows teams to assess consumer perceptions of new products. Additionally, a user experience kitchen provides a space for consumer engagement and product experience evaluation, alongside co-creation sessions with chefs, customers, and partners.
