ระหว่างวันที่ 27 – 29 พฤษภาคม 2567 นายอสิ ม้ามณี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก ได้ให้การต้อนรับคณะกรรมาธิการการป้องกันและบรรเทาผลกระทบจากภัยธรรมชาติและสาธารณภัย สภาผู้แทนราษฎร  และคณะกรรมาธิการการบริหารจัดการน้ำ สภาผู้แทนราษฎร ในโอกาสเยือนเนเธอร์แลนด์ 

 

โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้บรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับแผนการดำเนินการในกรณีเหตุฉุกเฉินรวมทั้งประสานนัดหมายให้คณะกรรมาธิการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัย สภาผู้แทนราษฎร เข้าพบหารือและรับฟังการบรรยายสรุปเกี่ยวกับแนวทางการป้องกันและบรรเทาสาธารณภัยจากหน่วยงาน National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism และหน่วยงาน National Crisis Center 

 

นอกจากนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้จัดให้คณะกรรมาธิการการบริหารจัดการน้ำ สภาผู้แทนราษฎร เข้าเยี่ยมชมและรับฟังข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับเขื่อนป้องกันน้ำสำคัญของเนเธอร์แลนด์ ได้แก่ เขื่อน Maeslantkering เขื่อน Afsluitdijk รวมถึงเข้าพบหารือสถาบัน Deltares ซึ่งเป็นสถาบันที่มีชื่อเสียงด้านแนวทางการบริหารจัดการน้ำอย่างครบวงจร และเป็นสถาบันที่มีความร่วมมือในด้านการบริหารจัดการน้ำกับประเทศไทยด้วย

From 27-29 May 2024, Ambassador Asi Mamanee, welcomed (1) the Standing Committee on Natural and Public Disasters Prevention and Mitigation of the House of Representatives of Thailand, and (2) the Standing Committee on Water Resources Management of the House of Representatives of Thailand, during their visit to the Netherlands.

 

The Royal Thai Embassy provided a briefing on emergency response plans and coordinated meetings for the Standing Committee on Natural and Public Disasters Prevention and Mitigation with the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism and the National Crisis Center. During these meetings, they discussed approaches to disaster prevention and mitigation.

 

Furthermore, the Embassy arranged for the Standing Committee on Water Resources Management to visit and receive information about the Netherlands' crucial flood defense systems, including the Maeslantkering and Afsluitdijk dams. They also discussed with Mr. Tjitte Nauta, Regional Manager Asia, the Deltares Institute, a renowned institution for integrated water management solutions that collaborates with Thailand on water management initiatives.
