เมื่อวันที่ 16 กันยายน 2569 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียน กรุงเฮก (ASEAN Committee in the Hague : ACTH) ได้จัดงานวันอาเซียน (ASEAN Day) เพื่อฉลองวาระครบรอบ 59 ปี การก่อตั้งอาเซียน (Association of Southeast Asian Nations - ASEAN) ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก โดยงานดังกล่าวได้รับเกียรติจากนาง Dominique Kuhling ตำแหน่ง Director for Asia and Oceania กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ตลอดจนเอกอัครราชทูตจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนและคู่เจรจา ผู้แทนจากรัฐบาลเนเธอร์แลนด์ เจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตและผู้แทนชุมชนประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ตลอดจนสื่อมวลชน เข้าร่วมงาน

 

กิจกรรมหลักภายในงานประกอบด้วยพิธีเชิญธงอาเซียน คำกล่าวโดยนายอสิ ม้ามณี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก และนาง Dominique Kuhling การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมและซุ้มอาหารจากอินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ ไทย และเวียดนาม เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลายในอาเซียน

 

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เน้นย้ำถึงการเติบโตของอาเซียนนับตั้งแต่ก่อตั้งในปี พ.ศ. 2510 สู่ประชาคมที่เข้มแข็งและมีสมาชิก 11 ประเทศ โดยติมอร์-เลสเต เป็นประเทศสมาชิกล่าสุด อาเซียนมีบทบาทสำคัญด้านการค้า ความเชื่อมโยง และเป็นตัวอย่างของความร่วมมือในระดับภูมิภาค นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังย้ำความสำคัญของเนเธอร์แลนด์ ในฐานะหุ้นส่วนเพื่อการพัฒนาของอาเซียน ซึ่งได้ดำเนินโครงการความร่วมมือที่เป็นประโยชน์ในสาขาต่าง ๆ โดยเฉพาะ เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว การบริหารจัดการน้ำ การเกษตรยั่งยืน และความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังชื่นชมบทบาทการเป็นประธานอาเซียนของฟิลิปปินส์ในปีนี้ด้วย

 

On 8 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy, in its capacity as Chair of the ASEAN Committee, hosted the ASEAN Day 2026 Celebration at the Thai Residence to commemorate the 59th anniversary of ASEAN. The event was honoured by the presence of Ms. Dominique Kuhling, Director for Asia and Oceania at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, as well as Ambassadors of ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners, representatives from the Government of the Netherlands, Embassy officials and community members from ASEAN Member States, and members of the press.

 

Key activities included the ASEAN flag-hoisting ceremony, opening remarks delivered by H.E. Mr. Asi Mamanee, Ambassador of Thailand to the Netherlands, and Ms. Dominique Kuhling, along with cultural performances and food stalls featuring cuisines from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam to celebrate ASEAN’s rich cultural diversity.

 

In his remarks, Ambassador Asi highlighted ASEAN’s evolution since its establishment in 1967 into a strong community of 11 member states, with Timor-Leste being the newest member. He emphasised ASEAN’s vital role in trade and connectivity, serving as a model for regional cooperation.

Furthermore, the Ambassador reiterated the importance of the Netherlands as a Development Partner of ASEAN, which has driven mutually beneficial cooperation projects across various fields, particularly green economy, water management, sustainable agriculture, and cybersecurity. On this occasion, the Ambassador also commended the Philippines for its role as the Chair of ASEAN in 2026 in navigating ASEAN’s future, together.
