เมื่อวันที่ 8 สิงหาคม 2567 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก ในฐานะประธานคณะกรรมการอาเซียน กรุงเฮก (ASEAN Committee in the Hague : ACTH) ได้จัดงานวันอาเซียน (ASEAN Day) เพื่อฉลองวาระครบรอบ 57 ปี การก่อตั้งอาเซียน (Association of Southeast Asian Nations - ASEAN) ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก โดยงานดังกล่าวได้รับเกียรติจากนาย Joost Flamand ตำแหน่ง Deputy Director General of Political Affairs กระทรวงการต่างประเทศเนเธอร์แลนด์ ตลอดจนเอกอัครราชทูตจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียนและคู่เจรจา ผู้แทนจากรัฐบาลเนเธอร์แลนด์ องค์กรระหว่างประเทศ เจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตอาเซียน ชุมชนชาวอาเซียน และกลุ่ม Friends of ASEAN เข้าร่วมงาน

 

กิจกรรมหลักภายในงานประกอบด้วยพิธีเชิญธงอาเซียน คำกล่าวโดยนายอสิ ม้ามณี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก และนาย Joost Flamand การแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมและซุ้มอาหารจากอินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ ไทย และเวียดนาม เพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวัฒนธรรมที่หลากหลายในอาเซียน

 

เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เน้นย้ำถึงการเติบโตของอาเซียนนับตั้งแต่ก่อตั้งในปี พ.ศ. 2510 สู่ประชาคมที่มีพลวัตจาก 10 ประเทศ ซึ่งปัจจุบันมีบทบาทสำคัญในด้านการค้า ความมั่นคง และเวทีทางการทูตระดับโลก นอกจากนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยังได้เน้นย้ำถึงความเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์ของอาเซียน โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งกับเนเธอร์แลนด์ โดยมุ่งเน้นไปที่ความร่วมมือในด้านต่าง ๆ เช่น เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในสาขาใหม่ ๆ เช่น เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว และความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ยืนยันความมุ่งมั่นของอาเซียนต่อเป้าหมายด้านสันติภาพ ความมั่นคง และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน และการเรียกร้องให้มีทุกฝ่ายมีความร่วมมืออย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อความเจริญรุ่งเรืองร่วมกัน

 

 

On 8 August 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy, in its role as Chair of the ASEAN Committee, hosted a celebration at the Thai Residence to commemorate the 57th anniversary of ASEAN. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Joost Flamand, Deputy Director-General of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, as well as Ambassadors from ASEAN Member States and Dialogue Partners, representatives from the Government of the Netherlands, international organizations, ASEAN Embassies official, ASEAN community members, and friends of ASEAN.

 

The main activities at the event included the ASEAN flag-raising ceremony, remarks by the Ambassador and Mr. Joost Flamand, cultural performances, and food stalls representing Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, celebrating the diverse cultures within ASEAN.

 

The Ambassador highlighted ASEAN's evolution from its founding in 1967 into a dynamic community of ten countries, now playing a significant role in global trade, security, and diplomacy. He emphasized ASEAN's strategic partnership, particularly with the Netherlands, focusing on areas such as the circular economy, climate change, and emerging fields like the green economy and cybersecurity. On this occasion, the Ambassador also reaffirmed ASEAN's commitment to peace, security, and sustainable development, and called for continued cooperation among all parties for shared prosperity.
