เมื่อวันที่ 14 ก.พ. 2568 นายอสิ ม้ามณี เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก พบหารือศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ศุภวรรณ ตันตยานนท์ นายกกิตติคุณสมาคมเคมีแห่งประเทศไทยในพระอุปถัมภ์ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สมเด็จพระเจ้าน้องนางเธอเจ้าฟ้าจุฬาภรณวลัยลักษณ์อัครราชกุมารี กรมพระศรีสวางควัฒน วรขัตติยราชนารี ในโอกาสเข้าร่วมการประชุมคณะกรรมการที่ปรึกษาด้านการศึกษาและการเข้าถึง (Advisory Board on Education and Outreach: ABEO) ขององค์การห้ามอาวุธเคมี (Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons: OPCW) ครั้งที่ 18 โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือเกี่ยวกับแนวทางส่งเสริมบทบาทของไทยในเวทีพหุภาคี รวมถึงกิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมองค์ความรู้ด้านเคมี และการดำเนินการภายใต้อนุสัญญาห้ามอาวุธเคมี 

 

ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. ศุภวรรณ ตันตยานนท์ ได้รับเลือกให้เข้าร่วมเป็นคณะกรรมการที่ปรึกษาด้านการศึกษาและการเข้าถึง (ABEO) ขององค์การห้ามอาวุธเคมี (OPCW) เป็นวาระที่ 2 ตั้งแต่วันที่ ม.ค. 2568 เป็นระยะเวลาอีก 3 ปี  โดยคณะกรรมการชุดนี้ มีหน้าที่หลักในการให้คำแนะนำแก่ OPCW เพื่อการพัฒนายุทธศาสตร์และกิจกรรมที่สนับสนุนรัฐภาคีในการปฏิบัติตามพันธกรณีภายใต้อนุสัญญาว่าด้วยอาวุธเคมีซึ่งจะเป็นโอกาสในการเสริมบทบาทและสร้างภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีของไทยในเวทีองค์การระหว่างประเทศ

 

On February 14, 2025, the Ambassador met with Professor Dr. Supawan Tantayanon, Honorary President of the Chemical Society of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, on the occasion of her participation in the 18th meeting of the Advisory Board on Education and Outreach (ABEO) of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW). Their discussions focused on enhancing Thailand's role in multilateral forums, promoting chemical knowledge, and advancing the implementation of the Chemical Weapons Convention.

 

Professor Dr. Supawan Tantayanon has been reappointed for a second term as a member of the OPCW Advisory Board on Education and Outreach (ABEO), serving for another three years from January 2025. The primary role of the ABEO is to provide recommendations to the OPCW on strategies and activities that support States Parties in fulfilling their obligations under the Chemical Weapons Convention.
