เมื่อวันที่ 4 ธันวาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮก ได้จัดงานเลี้ยงรับรองเนื่องในโอกาสวันคล้ายวันพระราชสมภพพระบาทสมเด็จพระบรมชนกาธิเบศร มหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร วันชาติ และวันพ่อแห่งชาติ ประจำปี 2566 ณ โรงแรม Des Indes กรุงเฮก โดยนางสาวชนม์วิพัฒน์ จ่างตระกูล อุปทูต นางสาวชนรรค์ดา สรภักดี ผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายพาณิชย์ ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่พร้อมครอบครัว คณะทูตานุทูต หน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ของเนเธอร์แลนด์ รวมทั้งกลุ่ม Friends of Thailand เข้าร่วมงานเลี้ยงฯ
ในโอกาสนี้ อุปทูต ได้กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ถึงความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตอันยาวนานระหว่างสองประเทศ โดยจะครบรอบ 420 ปีในปี 2567 ทั้งนี้ โรงแรมนี้เคยเป็นสถานที่ที่สมเด็จพระราชินียูเลียนาและเจ้าชายเบอร์นาร์ดเคยถวายพระกระยาหารค่ำแด่พระบาทสมเด็จพระมหาภูมิพลอดุลยเดชมหาราช บรมนาถบพิตร และสมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวงเมื่อครั้งเสด็จพระราชดำเนินเยือนเนเธอร์แลนด์อย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2503
อุปทูตได้กล่าวถึงการที่เนเธอร์แลนด์ส่งคณะเยือนไทยเพื่อร่วมมือด้านการบริหารจัดการน้ำและด้านอาหารในปีที่ผ่านมา รวมถึงการที่ทีมประเทศไทยได้จัดกิจกรรมเพื่อส่งเสริมความนิยมไทยในเนเธอร์แลนด์ทั้งด้านอาหารไทย การท่องเที่ยวไทย และมวยไทย จนนำไปสู่การที่จำนวนนักท่องเที่ยวดัตช์กลับมาใกล้เคียงกับจำนวนก่อนโควิด - 19 คือ 200,000 คนต่อปี
ในด้านเศรษฐกิจ อุปทูตได้เน้นย้ำนโยบายการส่งเสริมการลงทุนต่างชาติของไทย ผ่านการส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจชีวภาพ เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน และเศรษฐกิจสีเขียว ทั้งในแง่ของภาคอุตสาหกรรมเป้าหมายและการสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่ยั่งยืน ในขณะเดียวกัน มีบริษัทไทยมาลงทุนในเธอร์แลนด์จำนวนมากขึ้นเช่นกัน สะท้อนหุ้นส่วนที่เท่าเทียมกันด้านการลงทุน รวมทั้งยินดีที่เนเธอร์แลนด์ได้รับแต่งตั้งเป็นหุ้นส่วนเพื่อการพัฒนาของอาเซียน
อุปทูตได้เชิญชวนผู้ร่วมงานถวายพระพรให้พระบาทสมเด็จพระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว และสมเด็จพระราชาธิบดีวิลเลม-อะเล็กซานเดอร์แห่งเนเธอร์แลนด์ ทรงพระเจริญและมีพระพลานามัยแข็งแรง ตามด้วยการบรรเลงเพลงชาติไทยและเพลงชาติเนเธอร์แลนด์ของชมรมดนตรีไทยในราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์
ภายในงาน มีกิจกรรม ดังนี้ 1) การมอบรางวัลให้กับเยาวชนที่ชนะการประกวดกระทงรักษ์โลกจำนวน 10 รางวัล 2) การบรรเลงเพลงโดยวงดนตรีชมรมดนตรีไทยในราชอาณาจักรเนเธอร์แลนด์ 3) การเผยแพร่อาหารไทยจากร้านอาหารชื่อดังคือ ร้าน Siam Secret จากเมือง Hilversum และร้าน JUJIE cook’s Thai จากเมือง Rotterdam และ 4) การสาธิตการทำอาหารและชิมเมนูพิเศษ “ปลาเก๋าดำหมักในน้ำกะทิผสมมิโซ่เสิร์ฟกับลูกเดือยรีซ็อตโต้แกงเขียวหวาน“ ในแบบอาหารไทยผสมผสาน (Thai - Twisted/ Thai Fusion) โดยนายราชวัติ วิเชียรรัตน์ (เชฟเก่ง) พ่อครัวอดีตทีมชาติเนเธอร์แลนด์ชุดคว้าเหรียญทองโอลิมปิกการแข่งขันทำอาหารระดับโลก IKA Olympiade De Koche 2016 และผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 3 คนสุดท้ายรายการ the Next Iron Chef Thailand season 2
On 4 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy, The Hague hosted a reception on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day at Hotel Des Indes, The Hague. The reception was well attended by members of the diplomatic corps, representatives from the public and private sectors as well as civil society of the Netherlands, and members of Friends of Thailand.
In her remarks, Ms. Chonvipat Changtrakul, Charge d’ Affairs a.i. commended the longstanding diplomatic relations between the two Kingdoms, which will mark its 420th anniversary next year. The Hotel Des Indes has historical significance as it was the venue where Her Majesty Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands hosted a State Banquet in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother during their State Visit to the Netherlands in 1960.
Over the past year, as both countries have a strong anchor in agriculture, two Dutch Missions visited Thailand to further cooperation on water resource management and food innovation. The Royal Thai Embassy, together with Team Thailand, also organized a series of activities to promote the soft power of Thainess in the Netherlands, from gastronomy and tourism to the martial art of Thai boxing, which led to a strong rebound of Dutch tourists to a near pre-COVID level of 200,000 Dutch holidaymakers in Thailand this year.
On the economic front, the Netherlands is the leading country with the largest value of Foreign Direct Investment in comparison with other EU countries in Thailand. Of special interest is the Royal Thai Government’s focus on advancing a bio-circular-green (BCG) economy both in terms of target industry, with special incentive packages, as well as through Thailand’s commitment to create a sustainable ecosystem for production. On the other hand, there is a rising trend of Thai investments in the Netherlands reflecting an equal two-way partnership. Thailand also welcomes the recent conferment of the Netherlands as ASEAN Development Partner.
Closing her remarks, Charge d’ Affairs a.i. invited all guests to extend well wishes for happiness and good health of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand and His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, which was followed by the national anthems of the two Kingdoms orchestrated by the Thai Music Circle in the Netherlands.
Several engaging activities took place, such as; 1) Awarding prizes to youth winners of an eco-friendly Kratong competition 2) Thai music performances by the Thai Music Circle in the Netherlands 3) Showcasing Thai cuisine by renowned Thai restaurants, Siam Secret from Hilversum and JUJIE cook’s Thai from Rotterdam and 4) A live cooking demonstration and tasting of Thai Fusion cuisine “Black Grouper with Miso and Millet Risotto and Thai Green Curry Sauce” by Chef Ratchawat Vichianrat (Chef Keng), a former member of the Dutch national culinary team and gold medalist at the IKA Olympiade De Koche 2016 and top 3 finalists of the Next Iron Chef Thailand season 2.
