เมื่อวันที่ 7 ธันวาคม 2566 สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเฮกร่วมกับซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Sligro ได้จัดกิจกรรมส่งเสริมองค์ความรู้ด้านอาหารของไทยและวัตถุดิบอาหารไทย ณ ซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Sligro สาขา Forepark กรุงเฮก โดยมีกลุ่มลูกค้าและผู้ที่สนใจทั้งชาวดัตช์และชาวต่างชาติที่อาศัยในเนเธอร์แลนด์เข้าร่วมจำนวนมาก

 

สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้เชิญนายราชวัติ วิเชียรรัตน์ (เชฟเก่ง) พ่อครัวอดีตทีมชาติเนเธอร์แลนด์ชุดคว้าเหรียญทองโอลิมปิกการแข่งขันทำอาหารระดับโลก IKA Olympiade De Koche 2016 และผู้เข้าแข่งขัน 3 คนสุดท้ายรายการ the Next Iron Chef Thailand season 2 มาสาธิตการทำอาหารเมนูพิเศษ “ปลาเก๋าดำหมักในน้ำกะทิผสมมิโสะเสิร์ฟกับลูกเดือยรีซ็อตโต้แกงเขียวหวาน“ ซึ่งเป็น Signature Dish ในสไตล์อาหารไทยผสมผสาน (Thai - Twisted/ Thai Fusion) ของเชฟเก่งที่ยกระดับเมนูอาหารไทยให้เข้ากับอาหารแบบตะวันตก และยังใช้วัตถุดิบหลักจากไทยที่สามารถหาซื้อได้ในซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตและร้านค้าในเนเธอร์แลนด์ เพื่อให้ชาวต่างชาติได้เห็นว่าเมนูอาหารแบบไทยสามารถนำมาประยุกต์ให้เข้ากับอาหารแบบตะวันตกที่ชาวต่างชาติคุ้นเคยได้

 

ทั้งนี้ ซูปเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Sligro เป็นซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตขายส่งชั้นนำของเนเธอร์แลนด์ซึ่งมีมากกว่า 50 สาขาทั่วประเทศ เป็นซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตที่มีการนำเข้าวัตถุดิบต่าง ๆ จากทั่วโลกรวมทัังจากไทย นอกจากนี้ ซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต Sligro สาขา Forepark กรุงเฮก ยังเป็นหนึ่งในสาขาที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดในเนเธอร์แลนด์และเป็นหนึ่งในสาขาที่มีลูกค้ามากที่สุดอีกด้วย

 

On 7 December 2023, Royal Thai Embassy, The Hague in collaboration with Sligro, a leading wholesale supermarket, organized an activity to promote Thai cuisine and Thai food ingredients at Sligro, Forepark, The Hague. The activity was attended by many customers both Dutch and international community residing in the Netherlands.

 

The Embassy invited Chef Ratchawat Vichianrat (Chef Keng), a former member of the Dutch national culinary team and gold medalist at the IKA Olympiade De Koche 2016 and top 3 finalists of the Next Iron Chef Thailand season 2, to showcase his culinary skills. Chef Keng demonstrated the preparation of his Thai - Twisted/ Thai Fusion Signature Dish, “Black Grouper with Miso and Millet Risotto and Thai Green Curry Sauce” which he elevated traditional Thai menu to complement with Western cuisine, using ingredients available in Sligro and local stores in the Netherlands. The aim was to show international customers that Thai dishes can be adapted to suit the palates of those familiar with Western cuisine.

 

Sligro is a leading wholesale supermarket chain in the Netherlands, with over 50 branches nationwide. Sligro has imported  various food ingredients from around the world including from Thailand. The Sligro Forepark branch in The Hague is one of the largest in the Netherlands and has a significant customer base.
